Order Status
How long does it take to make my order?

Our Current Lead Time is 6-8 weeks. 

Lead times are the best way to provide customers with an estimated fulfillment timeline. Because we receive high order volume, we cannot accurately track every order individually through the entire production process. Holsters can take up to 8 weeks to be fulfilled depending on which holster is purchased.

Absolutely! If you check out as a guest, and then create an account later, your order will have to be linked manually to view the status of your order. Please email us with your order number and username so that we can correct the issue. 

Can I change my order?

We can make changes to your order prior to reaching the fulfillment stage. On all apparel, fulfillment takes place 1-3 business days after the order is placed. Holsters will be fulfilled according to the current estimated lead time.

Why does it take so long to make my holster?

Due to the many color/clip options for each pump, all holsters are made to order by hand once the order is placed. If we are experiencing high order volume, you can imagine how long the process can take. We thank you for your patience!

Can I expedite my order?

At this time, we do not offer overnight shipping or an expedited fulfillment service. 

I ordered a shirt and a holster, but I only received my shirt. Where is my holster?

All of our apparel is shipped from a separate location and is often fulfilled much faster than our holsters. Because of this fact, our holsters and apparel are shipped separately

Do you ship internationally?

We are now accepting international orders. Our website should detect your location and automatically convert to your currency/language. If you do not see prices in your currency, or you cannot change the country from US upon checkout, try using a different web browser or device. 

Can I pay for overnight shipping?

We do not offer expedited shipping or fulfillment services at this time

I have moved since I placed the order. Can I update my shipping address?

Sure! Send us an email at support@type1tactical.com with your name/order number/new address so we can make the change. 

Returns/Exchanges
What is your return policy?

Returns are accepted up to 30 days from the date of shipment. All items must be in new condition with all original parts included. Items returned with missing pieces and/or hardware will not be accepted. Refunds for returned products will be issued for the original purchase amount less shipping fees. Please be aware that when returning apparel and accessories, they will need to be returned to the appropriate address listed on the packing slip (19749 Dearborn St, Chatsworth, CA 91311)

How do I submit a return request?

We have made the return process super simple. Please visit our Return Portal to submit your return request. All you need is your Order Number and your ZIP code

How should I package my return?

Please package your return in a similar sized package as we used to ship your order. Our standard mailers are 6×9 poly bubble mailers. 

How can I exchange my order?

If you are within our Return Policy stated above, we will be happy to exchange your order for something else. Please email us and let us know how we can help!

About Our Holsters
Which belt clip should I order?
  • Our most popular clip option is the 1.5″ clip. It will fit most belts 1.5″ wide. These clips also work great without a belt.
  • The 1.75″ is the same design as the 1.5″ clip, but is slightly longer to fit wider belts.
  • The horizontal clips are of a different design than our other clips. horizontal clips are metal and do not have the bottom hook like the 1.5″ and 1.75″ clip. If you need a holster that fits more secure on a belt or clothing, the 1.5″ is the way to go.
  • Lastly, the Blade Tech Tek Lok is a super heavy duty clip built specifically for Law Enforcement and first responders. It is adjustable to fit a wide variety of belts, but is also the largest clip we sell. 
Which holster would work best for me?

The best option for most people would be our Stealth Holsters for their slim design and low profile. We recommend law enforcement and first responders purchase our full sized OWB holsters for the most protection for your pump.

Will my holster work without a belt?

Yes! The 1.5″ and 1.75″ clips are the best options for those looking to clip their holster onto waistbands, clothing, and under garments. 

 

The Horizontal holsters will also work without a belt, but will not be as secure as the clips mentioned above. 

 

The Blade Tech Clip will most likely not work without a belt due to the hinge and locking mecanism. 

Can I buy a vertical clip for my horizontal holster?

Unfortunately, the horizontal clips mount differently than the vertical holsters, so they are not interchangeable. 

 

The Blade Tech clip also mounts differently and cannot be swapped for a smaller clip.

What is the Blade Tech Clip?

The Blade Tech Tek Lok is a super heavy duty clip built specifically for Law Enforcement and first responders. It is adjustable to fit a wide variety of belts, but is also the largest clip we sell. 

What material are the holsters made of?

Our holsters are made of a very durable thermoplastic, KYDEX. This is so the holster provides superior protection without adding a ton of extra weight. 

Is the Carbon Fiber holster stronger?

The carbon fiber is simply a design upgrade that is made from the same materials as our other holsters. The carbon fiber KYDEX is more expensive to purchase, therefore the price increase. 

How can I request the cut out at the bottom of the holster?

As of March 2018, we now make the finger groove/cut out feature on every holster we produce. There is no need to request this service.

Warranty
Will my holster come with a warranty?

All holsters are backed by our limited lifetime guarantee. If your clip breaks or you lose a screw, please let us know and we will be happy to send you replacements at no extra charge.

Can I request new hardware for my holster?

Sure! If you need new screws/posts due to them coming loose and falling out, please let us know and we will gladly send you replacements.
